Jim Willis , HCOIC

West Monroe LA. 71291
Dear Jim,
9I have just received sides 1 through 12 from the Big Red =
;Apple Club and want to say they are great. Put me on your
list of members!!!
;I have included on this disk some spreadsheets that may be ?
=of interest to some (I hope). You can use this disk to send /
me sides 13 and 14 as soon as they are ready.
:I just obtained Ericson's Appleworks, Tips and Techniques >
<and have spent hours reading it. Most of the other books I :
8have seen tend to restate what is in the manual and not :
8provide much that is new. This book is almost entirely ?
=above and beyond the manual and tutorial. It is filled with ;
9tidbits and ideas to make our favorite program even more 9
productive. I would strongly recommend it all members.
;The STATS.xcountry is a statistics-type bulletin using the =
;spreadsheet. There are no numerical calculations done, it 2
is just a handy way to keep this type of record.
;The STATS.wrestling is different though. Each results for ?
=each individual's contest is entered then use OA-K to update ;
9the team summary and each individual's totals. (At 17CI ;
9this spreadsheet will print out on an 8 inch platen). I 9
7think this one could be modified to do many individual #
sports and even some team sports.
=The TAWUG.CAT is a spreadsheet of all the programs and sides >
<1 to 12. If printed at 17CI and 1/8th line spacing it will >
<create labels that will fit a disk (EXCEPT TAWUG.5). (Note <
:to Rupert: I had to use AppleWriter to load the catalogs ?
=into a text file and WPL to clean them up before transfering >
<to Appleworks. When do we Appleworks lovers get macros and :
8glossaries? I hope before we grow third hands to use a
mouse.)
=Keep up the great work Jim! I'm looking forward to the next
edition of TAWUG disks.
Sincerely yours,
Todd Novakofski
